An Open Letter To Our Patrons

Kurt and I are keenly aware that tickets for Pegasus Theatre’s annual Living Black and White™ (LBW) show would normally go on sale at the beginning of November. We have some good news and some not-so-good news on that topic.

First, Harry, Nigel, and Lt. Foster will have many more on-stage adventures in the future! We’ve been presenting these shows since 1986 and intend to continue doing so. That’s the good news.

The not-so-good news is that we are unable to produce a Living Black and White™ production in our 2024-25 season. There have only been two other times in our 39-year history that there has been a break in our annual LBW productions. And just like after those breaks, our Living Black and White™ trio will be back with hijinks and crime-solving before you know it!

As we mentioned in an audience email in September, the Eisemann Center (our LBW home since January 2006) has become too expensive for us to be able to produce these shows there any longer. We will miss this beautiful venue, but we know this is just the beginning of a continued commitment to producing our trademarked LBW shows in DFW!

In happier news, the rest of our 2024-25 season is unaffected! (See below for details.) We hope to see you at these shows, presented at the beautiful Bath House Cultural Center on White Rock Lake. Come back in early February for tickets to the March RadioVizion™ show, presented in the style of an old radio program! Fun for the whole family!

As always, we are grateful for your support!

How we got our new Lady in Red

By January 2016, the transition to Scott Nixon as Harry Hunsacker was in full swing. Scott was playing Harry several times a week as Kurt’s understudy and would become our full time Harry in January 2017. Now, what to do about the role of the Lady in Red? I was still...

How we got our New Harry!

Written by Barbara Weinberger. In fall 2013, Michael Serrecchia (the director of the Living Black and White shows) was auditioning actors for the upcoming 2014 production of “Rehearsal for Murder!” As usual Kurt and I sat in on auditions, to get a feel for the talent...

Meet Dayna Fries

Being a world class props designer requires an enormous amount of imagination and creativity. Dayna Fries has truckloads of both! She’ll need them to outfit a secret Nazi laboratory set in WW II and do it on a budget! Here’s where the hotdog spiralizers come in. It...

Meet Robert Winn!

Robert Winn has designed four Living Black and White sets for Pegasus since early 2016. He was also the Technical Director for our big Broadway-style musical “The Cuban and the Redhead” in September 2018. Those two roles interact quite a bit, and it helps if you’ve...

Meet John Harvey!

Thanks to a recommendation from the talented Robin Armstrong, John Harvey joined Pegasus Theatre in late 2005 as our Assistant Stage Manager. He was immediately struck by two things: Everyone in the cast, crew, and producing team was very accepting and encouraging....

Meet Michelle Foster!

Before Michelle Foster arrived on the Pegasus scene, we had only two years of experience under our belt with a production manager on our Living Black and White shows. Michelle came in and ever so graciously whipped us into shape. Along the way Michelle had an...
