An Open Letter To Our Patrons

Kurt and I are keenly aware that tickets for Pegasus Theatre’s annual Living Black and White™ (LBW) show would normally go on sale at the beginning of November. We have some good news and some not-so-good news on that topic.

First, Harry, Nigel, and Lt. Foster will have many more on-stage adventures in the future! We’ve been presenting these shows since 1986 and intend to continue doing so. That’s the good news.

The not-so-good news is that we are unable to produce a Living Black and White™ production in our 2024-25 season. There have only been two other times in our 39-year history that there has been a break in our annual LBW productions. And just like after those breaks, our Living Black and White™ trio will be back with hijinks and crime-solving before you know it!

As we mentioned in an audience email in September, the Eisemann Center (our LBW home since January 2006) has become too expensive for us to be able to produce these shows there any longer. We will miss this beautiful venue, but we know this is just the beginning of a continued commitment to producing our trademarked LBW shows in DFW!

In happier news, the rest of our 2024-25 season is unaffected! (See below for details.) We hope to see you at these shows, presented at the beautiful Bath House Cultural Center on White Rock Lake. Come back in early February for tickets to the March RadioVizion™ show, presented in the style of an old radio program! Fun for the whole family!

As always, we are grateful for your support!

The Origin of our RadioVizion™ Series

When we started to produce our Living Black & White™ series at the Eisemann Center in Richardson, we began to tap into a new audience, one that had never seen one of our shows in our old Deep Ellum space. And this new audience was hungry for more. We often got...

Next in our top 30 countdown: “XSR:Die!” (1987)

XSR:Die! was the second show Kurt wrote in the Living Black & White™ series, and it featured some of his finest work, both as a playwright and an actor. The setting was backstage at a Broadway theatre on the eve of Opening Night of a new play, giving Harry...

Celebrate love this Valentine’s Day!

It might seem odd for a theatre devoted to comedy to care about love, but we've always walked a little off the beaten path! As most of our veteran audience members know, Kurt Kleinmann (Harry Hunsacker) and Barb Weinberger (The Lady in Red) have been married for many...

America’s most (in)famous radio broadcast!

People of all ages have heard about the 1938 broadcast of the radio drama, "The War of the Worlds", based on a science fiction novel by H.G. Wells and narrated by Orson Welles. It aired as a Halloween edition of The Mercury Theatre on the Air. Per Wikipedia, "The...
