The number one reason to donate to Pegasus Theatre is need. High quality theatre is expensive to produce. We pride ourselves on keeping expenses low (re-using costumes, borrowing set pieces, etc), but that isn’t enough to fill the gap.
Think about this: In a well-run theatre, ticket sales generally account for one-third of total revenue. Another third should come from corporations, foundations, and the government. The final third comes from individual donations from audience members like you!
And it’s easy to get there! If 80% of our audience donated $25 a year (about two bucks a month), we’d have sufficient donations to keep the Living Black & White shows coming year after year!
So make a habit of it! And if you donate at least $25 on North Texas Giving Day (September 17th), it will be matched by a percentage of funds from the Communities Foundation of Texas. For more information, see https://www.northtexasgivingday.org/.
The legal stuff: Pegasus Theatre is recognized by the IRS as a charitable organization under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code. All donations to Pegasus Theatre are fully deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Thanks for your consideration!
